Humans strive to surpass their predecessors, using accumulated knowledge or awareness of the world to escape or express the individual and internal state of mind openly. Art, being intrinsically entertained with the human condition follows this tendency.
Art is tethered to the artist in the same way that each person is tied to their perception and experience of the world. Creative expression is an outer manifestation of the artist’s inner self and unique reality. Like poetry or philosophy, an artist’s work exposes the raw conceptualized reality of the creator. As creatives and intellectuals, we can transform views of our experiences or reconsider the world we live in.
